Pest Service Terms in West Virginia

Last Updated: 10/26/2026

What Pest Control Work These Terms Cover

Last updated: October 2026

These terms apply to pest inspections, treatment, and prevention work that West Virginia Pest Pros agrees to perform at the service address. The written estimate or service record identifies the target pest, treatment areas, products or methods when specified, and any preparation or follow-up requested. Work beyond that description such as repairs, sanitation, wildlife handling, structural changes, or treatment of a newly reported pest requires a separate agreement before it begins.

Pesticide work will be performed by appropriately certified applicators as required under West Virginia law, including W.Va. Code § 19-16A.

Products must be used according to their EPA-approved labels and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. We follow applicable pesticide storage and disposal requirements and hazardous-waste rules under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act.

Relevant workplace chemical information is handled under OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200. Oversight may involve the West Virginia Department of Agriculture, the U.S.

Environmental Protection Agency, or the West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection; USDA APHIS may apply to certain wildlife matters.

Booking, Changing, or Canceling a Visit

Appointments are arranged with West Virginia Pest Pros by phone, email, or another method we make available. We will confirm the visit time or arrival window and any access, preparation, or safety instructions that apply. Please provide accurate access details and let us know about pets, occupants, or conditions that could affect the visit.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, contact us as soon as possible and before the scheduled visit. Any cancellation charge or other appointment term will be disclosed before it applies; no amount is set by this section.

Weather, unsafe conditions, access problems, or other circumstances may require us to propose a new time. We will contact you about a change when reasonably practicable.

If inspection reveals that the requested work needs a different pest, area, or method, we will explain the proposed change. We will not add materially different work without your approval. You may decline the change, and the original service may be limited if the new condition prevents it from being performed as planned.

Estimates, Approved Work, and Payment

An estimate describes the work and price we understand to be needed based on the information available, including any inspection. It may identify limits, assumptions, or items not included. Conditions that are hidden or change after the estimate may affect the proposed work. We will explain a revised scope and price and seek your approval before performing added work.

Payment is due according to the timing stated in your estimate, invoice, or service agreement. If no timing is stated, ask us to clarify before work begins. Applicable taxes or other disclosed charges will be shown in the written price information. Do not rely on an oral change to the price or scope unless we confirm it.

If you dispute an invoice, contact us promptly and identify the charge in question so we can review it. Pay any undisputed balance under the agreed terms. Estimates are not a promise that every pest or contributing condition can be found before work starts, and acceptance authorizes only the services described in the approved scope.

What to Know About Service Guarantees

Any warranty or follow-up commitment from West Virginia Pest Pros applies only when it is stated in writing for the particular service. The written document should explain its duration, covered pest or work, required customer steps, and how to request service. These terms do not create a standard warranty period or promise that pests will never return.

Coverage may not apply to conditions outside the agreed work, including new pest activity, untreated areas, building entry points, moisture or sanitation issues, or changes made by others. It may also be affected if required preparation or access instructions are not followed. The written service terms control the specific coverage, subject to applicable law.

Contact us if you believe a covered issue has returned. Please describe the activity and service date, and allow us a reasonable opportunity to review the concern. A request for follow-up does not itself expand the original scope or guarantee a particular result. Nothing in this section removes rights that cannot legally be waived.

Responsibility for Service and Existing Conditions

To the extent allowed by law, West Virginia Pest Pros’ responsibility for a claim arising from a service is limited to the amount paid for the specific service involved. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, concealed conditions, pest activity outside the treated area, or later entry or reinfestation from conditions not included in the agreed scope. This limit does not apply where prohibited by law, or to liability that cannot legally be limited.

We do not exclude responsibility for our own failure to perform agreed work with reasonable care. Pesticide applications must be made by appropriately certified applicators as required by W.Va.

Code § 19-16A and in accordance with product labeling and the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act. Applicable storage and disposal rules, including hazardous-waste requirements under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act, remain in force.

OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200, applies where required to workplace chemical hazards. Nothing here changes regulatory duties or permits use contrary to an EPA-approved label.
